The Honorable Wayne Gilchrest, a former Republican congressman from Maryland, will speak at Sterling College on Thursday, October 11th, 2012.

Mr. Gilchrest, a moderate, served on the House Committee on Natural Resources and co-founded both the House Organic Caucus and the House Climate Change Caucus. He lost his seat in 2008 and went on to vote for Barack Obama in the November election.

Mr. Gilchrest will speak about environmental stewardship and the role of the family farm. The public is welcome to attend this event, which begins at 6:30 pm in Simpson Hall.
